Day 18: The Haunted College
This morning I went to a graveyard with Briana. Apparently she used to live with some Witchcraft nuts who performed some ceremonies here. This city just keeps getting better and better...

Then I went in search of a waterfall which my boss, Lou, told me about. Lou is a Portland native, which was basically the only thing I knew about this place prior to coming.

A watchtower, halfway to the waterfall. This thing serves no real purpose aside from being awesome.

The waterfall (clearly).
I picked up a book the other day on haunted places around America. I figure that if I'm going to be travelling I might as well do some research on interesting places... even if I have to do that research on-the-go. The book mentions a few places in and around Portland... tonight I decided to check out the "haunted music hall" of a small private college in Forest Grove. Apparantly you can sometimes hear piano music coming in the twilight hours...

Hmmm, no. I'd say that's pretty much just a building, and not a particularly creepy one at that. What's more, it has since ceased to be the college's music hall and is now the administration building. So even if the ghost *wanted* to play the piano, there wouldn't be anything for her to play...
I've noticed it gets dark considerable later up north. In Portland it doesn't get dark until almost 10 (in San Diego, night almost always falls before 8:30). I got a little lost on the way back into town tonight... too bad, I was really hoping to get some photos of the town around sunset...
